This kit was previously available from Paul Knight under his “Out to Lunch” label.  I have bought out the remaining stock.  This kit is in styrene sheet which needs glueing together in layers.  The roof supplied is preformed to match the approximate profile of the body, together with white metal castings etc.  This kit is now being supplied with wheels and couplings.

  • Covered carriage trucks (Aeroplane Van) to Diagramme 118 ~ only one left currently available at £ 75:00 including p&p  (UK only): -
This 6 wheel vechile was apart of the LYR none passenger coaching stock and was used during WW1 for the moment aircraft bodies.  (The diagramme number is in the LYR coaching section).

This kit is a mixture of different suppliers for the roof / body and chassis.  The body of this kit is in strene sheet which needs glueing together in layers.  The roof supplied is preformed to match the approximate profile of the body.  The chassis is supplied from the coach range; although the fruit van chassis would readily match, I have used the standard 33 foot chassis and supplied details of the modifications needed.  Members of the LYRS are advised that Magazine 244 contains an article on the van, also Magazine 253 also conatins much information on how to build sterne coach bodies by Paul Knight.
To complete this model the following are required paint / transfers / adhesies and solder.  these kits are now being suppied with wheels and couplings.
